The BCWF’s Wetlands Education Program is a non-profit organisation that provides an interactive experience in wetlands education. We do several workshops across the British Columbia, including a 2.5-day course (Wetlandkeepers), 7-days hands-on workshop (Wetlands Institute), 1-week long children’s daycamps (Wild Kidz Camps), 1-day course on GPS use (Map our Marshes), and many other wetland restoration projects!
The Wetlands Education Program consistently collaborates with BCWF clubs and members, Non-Governmental Organizations, local community groups, Naturalist clubs, First Nations groups and other interested parties in the communities that host all of our courses, to ensure for an inclusive and highly informative program. It has been said many times that change at the community level is most effective and long lasting. The combination of intensive wetland education paired with field-based restoration makes the BCWF WEP unique and effective across British Columbia.
This year, we’ve had the privilege to plan many exciting programs and they could not have been made possible without the generosity of our 2013 sponsors. They have helped to ensure that the BCWF Wetlands delivers quality education of wetland conservation across our beautiful province of BC.
